Dundee United chairman agrees to paternity test

According to The Scottish Sun, the woman in question, 25-year-old Jill Crumlish, cheated on her husband with the footballing supremo over a period of many years. A source told the newspaper: "The were rumours circulating that were just getting out of hand. So he (Thompson) decided to put this out int he open."
"It was an on-off relationship they'd been having for years. The latest time they were together was just a few weeks ago."
Crumlish's husband, Stephen, has been said to be devastated over the revelations, but vowed to stand by his wife. When questioned by media over the weekend, he simply stated: "I have nothing to say about this."
Thompson however has been more vocal about the situation, confirming: "I had a relationship with a own, who gave birth to a son in March 2010. I have offered to undergo a DNA test to establish the paternity. If I'm the father I'll fully support my son."
Thompson himself is engaged, and has three children. In a weird twist to to the story, one of his offspring, 23-year-old Alexander, is friendly with Crumlish.
Speaking to The Daily Record, another of Crumlish's friends claimed: "It's ironic, given the position she finds herself in, that Jill actually knows Alexander. I have no idea what his reaction will be to this, but it is bound to come as a shock to the system."
