Although the world of DNA is only in its early stages we can now create your own DNA Identity Profile. This profile is unique to you, meaning that no one in the world will have the same DNA identity profile, unless you have an identical twin!

Your DNA Identity profile consists of:

2. Your unique genetic code

It can be used as a stamp of your uniqueness or to personalise items from clothing to mobile phones.

The DNA Identity Profile looks at ten sections of your DNA. For each of these sections you have two sets of numbers, one from your mothers' side and one from your fathers' side.

What you find is that different populations around the world have a similar range of numbers for their DNA section. (For instance for the section D3 only 0.3% of US Caucasians have the number 32 whereas 22% of US Caucasians have the number 12.)
