The 1st Cousin DNA

The 1st Cousin DNA Analysis is designed to measure the probabilities that the two alleged 1st cousins submitting specimens for testing are cousins.This test can be used for legal or for personal purposes.

Conclusive Range: less than 20% exclusion or more than 80% inclusion.
Turnaround Time: 5-10 Days.
Participants: Two alleged 1st cousins.
Other Details: Results are 100% accurate and may vary between 100% exclusion of relationship to 99.99% positive proof of relationship. Cannot test half cousins unless a direct maternal or paternal link can be established. 

Procedure:

Samples are collected from two alleged 1st Cousins at home or at a collection center. The samples are obtained using a cheek swab (provided by DNA Worldwide). After samples are sent to the laboratory, results will be available within 5-10 Days. Conclusive results will indicate either <20% or >80% probability. We do not guarantee that results will fall into this conclusive range.
