How does it work?

DNA testing has advanced to such a stage where we can confirm a biological link between two people by using cheek cells alone. This means the DNA testing causes no pain or discomfort and results can be found in just a few days of testing. So how does it work? DNA Worldwide will set up an appointment with a Doctor at a location that is suitable for you. The Doctor will then swab the inside of your cheek with a cotton bud to obtain the DNA. This is then sent to our lab where the DNA test takes place.

Throughout the process DNA Worldwide will be at hand to arrange all appointments and answer any queries you have. We have strong links to doctors in Nigeria, so you can be assured they are happy to carry out your DNA testing. Our current collection sites in Nigeria are located in both Lagos and Abuja, but the list is constantly growing, so if none of these collection sites suit you, we can always locate another Doctor willing to help you. Every Doctor we use has all the accreditations needed to carry out DNA collections.

• Lagos: The port of Lagos can be found in south-western Nigeria, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The former capital of Nigeria is one of the fastest growing cities in the world, with a current population of over eight million. Transportation routes are numerous making the travel both to and inside the city easy. The Murtala Mohammed International Airport has flights internationally and domestically and there are highways leading to nearby cities like Ibadan and Abeokuta. • Abuja: The capital city of Nigeria is located in the centre of the country and has a population of 800,000. It is undergoing fantastic changes and is being shaped into one of the best capitals in Africa. A planned railway system is under construction which should open in 2012. At the moment there is a network of buses and taxis to transport people around the city. Security is very good in Abuja and finding where to go is made clear. You can fly around Nigeria domestically from the Abuja International Airport and the airport also serves flights to different parts of the world.
